None of them mentions “Real Love”, a very popular Christmas movie
Story
Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret personality is. Caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helen’s employer calls on Sam to protect her. There is a wall where the characters discuss their favorite Christmas movies.
Probably, it’s because in both films the main role is played by Keira Knightley
Spies, London, Keira, Ben, quality cinematography, a wonderful soundtrack – what could go wrong? Besides, I already know that this is my favorite genre, and I don’t pay attention to any shortcomings. But when the dialogues in Episode 1 were slow, a few moments dragged on, and the walls with Quinten-style dialogue requests left me indifferent, I tried to console myself.
I was wrong
Surely they just develop the characters and set a unique tone. As the episodes went on, I realized that this series was not going to be successful. Not just scattered, but with a small number of characters that really worried me.
I am so sad from what could have been
To be honest, I don’t know how magic happens, but I was deeply moved by the stories and characters of “Slow Horses,” “The Americans,” “Le Bureau,” “The Diplomat,” and even “The Old Man,” despite all their flaws. Add to that the lack of stakes and numerous omissions in basic details, and the ratio of annoying: intrigued becomes too high to be enjoyable. Yes, all the basic spy elements are here, in Black Doves, but for some reason there was no salt in the recipe, and by E03 I had already increased the playback speed.
