Featured in Korman Productions Deep Dive TV Podcast: Earth Abides on MGM+ Deep Dive Episode 1 "Alone" with Dave and Stacie (2024). Normally the first episode would be a decent episode, but not here, which is especially bad considering it’s about a global pandemic that is seemingly wiping out civilization. It’s only been three weeks that he’s been out of it from what’s been said, and it seems like months or even years from the way everyone’s talking and acting.
Well, that didn’t last long
It starts off by introducing him as a grounded guy who likes to be alone and live off the grid. Judging by the cover picture, what are the chances that when he meets her, she will be a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man, but he can go with him like a lost puppy. I really can’t see where the fun will come from if there’s hardly anyone left and if there’s no infected threat like 28 Days Later.
I won’t watch to find out !
This episode just had the survivors whining about how they’re alive. Maybe there will be textbook slave owners (probably Christians made to look bad) who want to start a new world order and have to escape them? "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
