Liam Neeson’s character was diagnosed by a doctor with CTE
An aging gangster tries to reconnect with his children and right the wrongs of his past, but the criminal underworld won’t let go of its grip willingly. Liam Neeson started boxing at age 9 and boxed amateur until he was 17. A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made after brain tissue is examined after a person dies.

He still convincingly plays those old gangsters with heart
And this story is about aging and approaching the end of life and trying to heal long lost family ties. It’s not a gripping drama, but a slow and subtle one and for those interested in that genre, it might be worth a watch, just don’t expect fireworks! The Bad: I love seeing Liam Neeson in his hard-hitting old gangster roles where he fights and shoots bad guys.
NOT suitable for fans of Liam Neeson action gangsters
But this movie has very little of that and so I got a little bored halfway through. Better suited to an art house audience who enjoys watching a subtle and slow-moving character drama…
