Is she a siren or a myth?
Parthenope is a woman named after her city. In Greek myth, Parthenope is a siren who kills herself after failing to charm Odysseus. Her body was washed up by the tide to where Castel dell’Ovo is now built, and she gave the name to the city that later became Neapolis, Naples.
What is Parthenope if not a love letter to youth?
In the film, Parthenope is the embodiment of the city of Naples. Heat Written by Peter Gregson Starring Peter Gregson, Warren Zielinski, Magdalena Filipczak, Laurie Anderson, Ashok Kluda. Celeste dalla Porta embodies all the years we have lived and forgotten, all the pain and love we have experienced, all the nights we have been up talking nonsense.
You can’t help but fall in love with her
Sorrentino was able to capture her beauty and create a film around it. She is more of an ideal woman, a kind of divinity: too perfect to be true. How could you not watch in amazement as her meditative gaze turned into a smile: falling in love is so easy.
This creates a sense of artificiality that can be distracting and uncomfortable
So I declare: a new diva is born, an eternal star, eternally young. Apart from Celeste, the film seems to be looking for only the best shots and poetic quotes. The narration is loose and the plot is essentially non-existent, as the film is more concerned with aesthetics than with building a coherent story.

It’s an artistic choice that some may love and others may hate. I love Celeste dalla Porta in this film and I’m more than happy.
