Sonic, Knuckles and Tails reunite to fight a powerful new enemy, Shadow, a mysterious thief with unprecedented abilities. Surpassing their abilities, Team Sonic must seek an unlikely alliance. Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Colleen O’Shaughnessy and Lee Majdub share hobbies that may surprise their fans. The creators of the previous films mentioned that they played both Sonikku Adobench 2 (2001) and the solo game Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) for inspiration. The film is also inspired by narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). SPOILER: In the end credits, there is a scene: Sonic arrives at New York State Park and is confronted by Metal Sonic’s robot army, but is saved by Amy Rose. Featured in Geeks + Gamers: Sonic 3 – Trailer Reaction (2024). Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is the best game of the trilogy. Best script, best characterization, great humor, and Keanu Reeves as Shadow is simply amazing. This movie is different from the first two, obviously in terms of the tone of the movie, this movie is an adaptation of the soul of Sonic Adventure 2, and they did it better than I could have imagined. Shadow’s past is shown mesmerizingly beautifully, not to mention his impeccable computer model, his appearance really impressed me. Jim Carrey was funny as always, it was great to have him in our franchise, he was ridiculously great as Ivo and Gerald. Ben Schwartz, Collin and Idris were shining brighter than ever. As a big Sonic fan, this movie exceeded my expectations. What a feeling to be a fan of Sonic! Definitely one of the best works in Sonic history. 9/10.
