Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the stuff of science fiction. The first season covers the first 30 chapters of the book “Wool” – the book has 82 chapters. The floor fans in several episodes spin in the wrong direction, relative to the orientation of the blades. Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull air. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 to Binge Watch (2023). I really enjoyed Silo. Just my kind of show. I like mystery and suspense. I had not read or heard of the books Silo is based on. The story is good and interesting. The series is set 140 years after the apocalypse. The remaining 10,000 people live in a silo and these people have never stepped outside the silo. They don’t even know what stars are. But they know that leaving the silo is fatal. Some people choose to come out to learn more, but they still die. Those who remain in the silo can see through a window whenever someone wants to come out, and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays the lead role of Juliette Nichols, who tries to find out what is happening outside the silo and why they can’t get out without dying. The acting is good, as is the character development. However, the pacing can be a bit slow, as there are some filler episodes. They probably could have shortened the series by at least two episodes, but that doesn’t bother me too much because the series as a whole is very good. I can’t wait for season 2 with more suspense, mystery, and answers to what is happening outside the silo!
