The film’s director said in a recent interview that he’s not sure if this film will enhance or worsen Donald Trump’s reputation… After watching the film, I’m not sure either… It certainly starts off by showing him as more human than he himself or some of the media has been in recent years… How has he changed through his apprenticeship under Roy Cohn?

Money and power are definitely one of the themes… The shots of him in the 80s, which are made to look grainy like 80s TV, are a nice touch… If I have one criticism (which is why I’m giving it a 7), it’s because the writer clearly didn’t know how to end it… But it’s worth a watch to see how well Donald Trump, Roy Cohn, and Ivana Trump are portrayed… and how they play out in the film… ..
