At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan launched his act into the folk music scene, transitioning to electronic and rock and roll as the voice of a generation that defined one of the most transformative moments in 20th-century music. The film project was put on the backburner by the studio’s recent COVID precautions. So Papamichael and director James Mangold are moving on to other projects. “I don’t think it’s dead,” Papamichaels said of the Chalamet-directed biopic: “But it’s hard to make it in the era of COVID because it’s all small clubs with a lot of period costume extras, and you’ve got a lot of hair and makeup. So our next project is Indiana Jones 5 (2022). Mangold is doing it.”
