The movie was filmed on historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like that year-round
Story
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest, in a process judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick. Get your fill of happily ever after with this year’s lineup of romantic holiday-themed movies to watch from the comfort of your own home. The locations that served as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are also family-owned stores in real life.
I thought this movie was horrible!!
The Square also has a Christmas lighting display just like the one in the movie. No, nada, boring, stupid…sorry but where the hell was Christmas??? Hallmark made a splash so we could all watch it with anticipation – what a huge fumble!
The CGI or whatever it’s called was clearly fake
I know a lot of people will roll their eyes at this review but hey that’s just my opinion. I thought the actors did a good job with what they had to work with but what really upset me was early on when the leads were sitting around the fire and at one point they stand up and suddenly hold hands. It doesn’t just happen, there was very little build up to produce a hand being held at that moment.
Sorry Hallmark, you missed the mark with this one
The fact that the lead actress had that much confidence in a hat was just absurd, she was willing to throw away her potential life partner because of a hat, really? As another reviewer stated, it was a real buzzkill and a great fumble! I gave it a 6 for the acting, some of the parts were ok especially with the grandfather, I found him endearing.
