I’ve seen the first two episodes and was disappointed only by the fact that there will only be six, and then another six. The cast is fantastic and while the dialogue requires a higher volume for these American ears, it is well-written.

I wouldn’t normally watch the on-screen version of a book I’d like to read, but I wanted to watch this as soon as it came out and I didn’t know if the books. I’ll definitely be reading them later, though.

I recommend this one, unless you don’t like lofty spy themes

As soon as I heard it, I thought, “They sure haven’t caught Mick Jagger!” But it is, and the song is great, with relevant lyrics and thematic elements as well. I see several reviews complaining that this song has a “leftist” bias, but all I see is art imitating life with some of the plot lines.

I had the honor of seeing this excellent film at the AFI Film Festival

During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American sports broadcasting crew is assigned to cover the hostage situation of Israeli athletes.

Set in the ABC control room of the 1972 Munich Olympics, the film realistically depicts both the routine aspects of running a control room during an event and, of course, the tragic Black September attacks on the Israeli athletes

In the control room are ABC sports president Roone Arledge (Peter Sarsgaard), junior producer Geoffrey Mason (John Magaro), vice president of Olympic coverage Marvin Bader (Ben Chaplin), and German interpreter Marianne Gebhardt (Leonie Benesch), all of whom play their roles superbly.

But the key aspect of any thriller is the script and direction by Tim Fehlbaum, who will keep you hooked throughout the film

The film also accurately shows how technology that was considered cutting edge at the time seems amusingly primitive today (examples include giant VCRs, competition for satellite space, manual insertion of graphics, etc.).

The realism is further enhanced by the use of archive footage of Jim McKay’s coverage of the tragedy

My only minor criticism is the casting of Benjamin Walker as Peter Jennings – he doesn’t seem quite right for the role of the handsome and dapper anchorman I remember (I probably would have cut his role and just relied on the tape of Jennings speaking from the Olympic Village).

But that criticism doesn’t stop me from highly recommending this excellent film – it’s a must-see!

The viewer learned in the first episode that CHS lived above Oliver who lived above Mabel, with that elevator scene. BUT the opener has CHS in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on 8th, Mabel on 9th–the reverse order and far below CHS' actual apt floor within the series..

I loved season 1 and 2, but I'm just not enjoying season 3 as much

I previously rated the show an 8, but I have had to lower the rating after season 3. The main characters seem to have different personalities.The show in season 1 and 2 was warm, engaging and funny, but a lot of that is lost in season 3 somehow.I personally don't really like the musical theme of season 3 , but others appear to love it.The reveals are obvious and easily guessed at the beginning, and aren't very interesting/twists.The writing seems way less serious, as though they know it's a stupid premise so haven& #39;t put as much effort into the writing.Overall I am disappointed with season 3, the ending certainly wasn't worth dragging out 10 episodes for.

Would love to see the show carry on, more similarly to season 1
