Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role
Tale
The grieving therapist begins to tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Despite his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives, including his own. When asked by Bill Lawrence how they got Harrison Ford to be on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted “a Harrison Ford type.” and intended to cast people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should at least introduce him to Ford, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been offered the project, sparking interest from other big-name actors.
Jason Segel is perfect for this script
Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was elated nonetheless.. Featured on WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). And the rest of the show is great, too. He has the weird, idiotically confident energy that the role requires.
And Jessica is perfect
Her humor is just right for the dialogue. It’s a new way of doing situation drama. No special features, just engaging personalities with a touch of weirdness, and family circumstances that are a little bit beyond the norm, but still similar. Of course, Jimmy’s behavior as a therapist is completely absurd.
It’s just impossible
You’d lose your license right away. But in drama, we allow metaphorical situations. And in this script, we feel a strong sense of directionality. We have to give the writers a benefit and try to get the point across.
The movie was filmed on historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like that year-round

I thought this movie was horrible!!
The Square also has a Christmas lighting display just like the one in the movie. No, nada, boring, stupid…sorry but where the hell was Christmas??? Hallmark made a splash so we could all watch it with anticipation – what a huge fumble!
The CGI or whatever it’s called was clearly fake
I know a lot of people will roll their eyes at this review but hey that’s just my opinion. I thought the actors did a good job with what they had to work with but what really upset me was early on when the leads were sitting around the fire and at one point they stand up and suddenly hold hands. It doesn’t just happen, there was very little build up to produce a hand being held at that moment.
Sorry Hallmark, you missed the mark with this one
The fact that the lead actress had that much confidence in a hat was just absurd, she was willing to throw away her potential life partner because of a hat, really? As another reviewer stated, it was a real buzzkill and a great fumble! I gave it a 6 for the acting, some of the parts were ok especially with the grandfather, I found him endearing.
It’s the year 2073, and modern life’s worst fears have come true. Surveillance drones fill the orange sky and militarized police roam the devastated streets as survivors hide underground, struggling to remember a free and hopeful life. In this brilliant blend of visionary science fiction and speculative nonfiction…
